Job Description
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer is a unique blend of digital solutions developers and technical gurus that will build and maintain solutions that will scale as the business grows. As part of Gannett’s Marketing Operations team (MOPs), you will execute SFMC-based marketing solutions, technical design analysis, and document digital architecture. You will also support existing architectures within Salesforce and adjoining data sources in collaboration with internal teams. The successful candidate displays technical prowess, team-first mentality, and the ability to balance multiple fast-paced projects from inception to completion simultaneously.
Your Responsibilities:
- Architect data feeds, journey platform configuration, and components needed to run complex automated email campaigns.
- Proactively identify and resolve problems including data feed issues.
- Support campaign builds including code development for email templates, automation, cloud pages, forms, SQL queries, and API integrations.
- Create technical, integration, and data design documentation.
- Provide technical effort estimates and timelines.
- Develop emails using advanced AMPscript.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with MarTech, Marketing, IT, and Analytics teams to ensure goals are met and data is correct.
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of directly related e-mail/campaign development and integration experience.
- 5+ Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience required
- Marketing Cloud Administrator and/or Marketing Cloud Developer certification preferred but not required if offset with work experience.
- Masterful understanding of SFMC data extension architecture, integration capabilities, and automation capabilities.
- Deep knowledge and working experience with HTML, SQL, and advanced AMPscript.
- Well-versed in triggered/automated emails using external data sources.
- Experience utilizing Journey Builder for advanced multi-business and channel solutions.
- Ability to gather requirements and translate to technical solutions that can scale across multiple business units.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to conceptualize and communicate highly detailed technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Results-driven and able to meet multiple deadlines.
