Description
The Assistant Director has primary responsibility for management of the day-to-day operation of Accessibility Services and works closely with the Director and Associate Director of Academic Resource Hub and other staff to effectively coordinate the overall provision of accommodations and services to students with disabilities including, but not limited to: exam proctoring, note-taking services, housing accommodations, alternative format materials, assistive devices, etc. The Assistant Director regularly consults with faculty and staff regarding college policies and procedures and actively works to enhance the inclusion of members of the Lafayette community that experience disability. The Assistant Director is expected to maintain knowledge of best practices and legal developments through regular attendance at conferences, meetings, and targeted trainings. The Assistant Director collaboratively establishes the vision and goals for Accessibility-Services and assumes primary responsibility for the

Qualifications
Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or equivalent. Familiarity with Accommodate, Maxient, Banner, WordPress, Cognos, and Qualtrics is helpful. Familiarity with commonly used adaptive technology platforms such as Dragon or Kurzweil is also preferred.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Educational Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling or related is preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in the provision of accommodations to students with disabilities, in a higher education environment.
- An ability to work capably under strict deadlines, pay close attention to detail and demonstrated experience in successfully addressing multiple priorities in a short timeframe.
- Evidence of effective interpersonal skills, clarity in communication and an ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with challenging situations is particularly important.
