- Assist recovery leadership in proper training of new staff
- Conduct professional interactions with hospital, OPO, medical examiner, and funeral home staff
- Maintain a valid driver's license throughout the time of employment
Training
No certification or previous experience required; training will be provided by the employer. Training consists of in-office/in-lab training during office hours, and on-call hours in the field until competency by the individual is obtained. There may be additional shifts the trainee is required to attend during the training process that is outside of the shift availability discussed during the interview process. These scheduled shifts will be discussed in advance to help accommodate other obligations the trainee may have.
Additional Opportunities

This is a two-year program where the employee will have the opportunity to shadow a corneal surgeon, may have the opportunity of research in ophthalmology and/or eye banking, and upon completion will receive a letter of recommendation from the medical director/corneal surgeon of the Utah Lions Eye Bank.
- Note: this is an optional program provided by the Utah Lions Eye Bank. This program is not associated with the University of Utah School of Medicine or University of Utah Health Sciences and does not have the option for credits. Since this is an optional program for pre-health students, hours spent on non-eye bank related tasks (e.g shadowing a corneal surgeon) will not be compensated for that time.
